The 134th Canton Fair Overseas Buyers’ Guide for Badge Registration

1. If you have successfully obtained a Return Receipt of Buyer Badge Pre-application from Canton Fair official website, you don’t need to scan the QR code again.

2. Registration points at the airport, designated hotels, and Canton Fair Hong Kong Representative Office only accept Buyer Badge applications from holders of foreign passports, Mainland Travel Permits for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, and Mainland Travel Permits for Taiwan Residents. Registration at alternative points is free of charge.

3. A service fee will be charged for a replacement for a lost or forgotten Buyer Badge at the registration offices in the complex. Please keep your Badge properly and remember to bring it to the venue!

It is recommended to apply for a Buyer Badge in advance at alternative registration points, which is free of charge.

Note: Alternative overseas buyers’ registration points (including those at the airport, designated hotels, and Canton Fair Hong Kong Representative Office) only accept Buyer Badge applications from holders of foreign passports, Mainland Travel Permits for Hong Kong and Macao residents, and Mainland Travel Permits for Taiwan Residents.

1. Canton Fair Overseas Buyers’ Registration Points at Baiyun International Airport

There are three registration counters at the airport, of which two counters will provide 24-hour registration services on overseas buyers’ peak arrival days.

(1) Location

· There are two registration counters at Terminal 1. One is by Gate A9 at Arrivals, and the other is by the metro station entrance at LG1.

· There is one registration counter at Terminal 2 – the Guangzhou Tourist Information Centre.

(2) Open hours

Open hours are from 8:00-24:00 from October 12 to November 3, 2023. Two counters provide 24-hour services.

Registration counters and dates for 24-hour services:

Two badge registration counters: One counter is by Gate A9 at Arrivals in Terminal 1, and the other is the Guangzhou Tourist Information Centre in Terminal 2.

The 24-hour badge service dates: October 14 and 15 for Phase 1, October 22 and 23 for Phase 2, and October 30 and 31 for Phase 3. The 24-hour services will be available for a total of six days, with service hours from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on the following day.

These services are free for first-time badge applications and replacements.

The 134th Canton Fair provides badge services for overseas buyers at 40 designated hotels in Guangzhou, with some providing 24-hour services on peak arrival days. The designated hotels are listed below in no particular order.

Note: The 10 hotels marked with * in the list provide 24-hour badge services during peak arrival times. To be specific, 24-hour services will be available for a total of six days; on October 14 and 15 for Phase 1, October 22 and 23 for Phase 2, and October 30 and 31 for Phase 3. 

For applications submitted during night shifts, the Badge is to be issued after 8:30 a.m. the same day or the next day.​​​​​​​

Open hours: Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Closed on Saturday, Sunday, and on Hong Kong public holidays.

These services are free for first-time badge applications and replacements.

ii. Address, Open Hours, and Fee for Overseas Buyers’ Registration Offices at Canton Fair Complex

For the 134th Canton Fair, there will be 4 overseas buyers’ registration offices at the complex; two in Area B, one in Area C, and one in Area D.

Overseas buyers’ registration offices at the complex accept Buyer Badge applications from holders of original copies of foreign passports, Mainland Travel Permits for Hong Kong and Macao residents, Mainland Travel Permits for Taiwan residents, valid overseas Chinese identity documents (Chinese passports and overseas permanent residence permits/visas), or Chinese passports with valid overseas work visas for more than one year.

· Two overseas buyers’ registration offices are located at Area B of Canton Fair Complex (Exit A/B, Pazhou Station, Guangzhou Metro Line 8)

· One overseas buyers’ registration office is located at Area C of Canton Fair Complex (Exit C, Pazhou Station, Guangzhou Metro Line 8)

· One overseas buyers’ registration office is located at Area D of Canton Fair Complex (Exit A, Xingang East Station, Guangzhou Metro Line 8)

2. Open hours (Badge services will be available from Oct 12th for Phase 1, Oct 22nd for Phase 2, and Oct 30th for Phase 3)

Note: 24-hour badge services will be available from 10:30 a.m. October 12 to 8:30 a.m. October 15 at the overseas buyers’ registration office at Area C of Canton Fair Complex (Exit C, Pazhou Station, Guangzhou Metro Line 8)

3. Fee

First-time badge applications and replacements for old badges are free of charge. A service fee of 200 RMB will be charged for a replacement of a lost or forgotten Buyer Badge.

Overseas buyers must have a Buyer Badge to enter the complex.

Please note that the Buyer Badge can be used for multiple sessions. Please keep it properly. If you already have a Buyer Badge, you can enter the complex directly, which is convenient and time-saving. If you need a replacement for a forgotten or lost Badge, your previous Badge will be invalidated automatically after the new one is issued. Please bring your current Badge when entering the venue.

To facilitate your registration process, for the 134th Canton Fair, we will set up overseas buyers’ registration points at 40 designated hotels in Guangzhou, and for the first time, we will offer registration services at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. The overseas buyers’ registration offices at Canton Fair Complex and Canton Fair Hong Kong Representative Office will continue to accept badge applications. Moreover, 24-hour badge services will be available for the first time at some of our registration points.

To ensure a seamless and convenient experience for you, we strongly recommend that overseas buyers pre-register for Buyer Badges at alternative registration points rather than the complex. It is advised that you have your Buyer Badge made at the airport, designated hotels, or Canton Fair Hong Kong Representative Office, or at least complete pre-registration online in advance. By following the advice above, you can avoid waiting in long queues for badge registration at Canton Fair Complex.
